Love it or hate it, this is the time of the year when a large proportion of the Earth’s population is experiencing the effect of the scorching sun. People in the temperate climate like take this opportunity to dress down for the warmer weather, taking their summer vacations in exotic tropical countries – in hope of returning with a ‘healthy’ tan.
On the other spectrum, we have people (like us in Singapore) living nearer the Earth’s equator that experience the hot weather all year round – and absolutely dreading it. Dressing light is a matter of survival, rather then a fashion novelty. That said, I am surprise that some of my (male) peers pay very little attention to sun protection, exposing our skin to harmful effects of the sun all year round.
