If you are a frequent traveler, it’s always a headache trying to remember what time zone you’re in and then having to adjust your wrist watch at each destination. But now, the Montblanc TimeWalker ChronoVoyager UTC Watch will allow you to do so in style, with a Swiss automatic movement, a column-wheel chronograph with UTC time, a 43mm stainless steel case, and a titanium grey bezel.
Unlike most wristwatches, the Montblanc TimeWalker Chrono Voyager UTC shows the time in two different time zones at a glance. This function has become increasingly important along with the growth of mobility across the boundaries of time zones. The dial instantly shows both the time in the user’s current time zone and the time at his residence or workplace. UTC (Universal Time Coordinated) replaced GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) in 1972. GMT had been in effect since the Meridian Conference in Washington, D.C. in 1884 and had served as the starting point for the 24 time zones into which the conferees had divided the globe. The 24-hour UTC on the TimeWalker Chrono Voyager UTC is not permanently set to Greenwich Time, but can be reset to show the time in any desired zone, thus making this timepiece a genuine time-zone watch.
