Chanel is regarded one of the most sought after and iconic luxury brand for women. It branched into fine watch making in 1987 and continued to serve its female fans.
However, this September, Chanel will be launching for the first time ever, a men’s watch specifically crafted to reflects the House values of aesthetic and technical excellence. Named the Monsieur de Chanel, the luxury label spent five years honing the design of a manual-winding mechanical movement called the Calibre 1, a double complication consisting of 170 components. The watch’s 240-degree display allows for the movement, an Instant Jumping Hour and retrograde minute indication, to take place, which means the minute hand jumps to zero at the start of each hour.
The Monsieur de Chanel will be released in September 2016 – a total of 300 examples: 150 in beige gold and 150 in white gold.
