Special to one of my Facebook follower for sharing this extremely interesting event to me. I haven’t had a chance to go down myself but it’s ending this coming Thursday 11 April, so I thought I’d better share it here so you guys can pop by to support this exhibition as well.

The Dandy – New Aesthetics in Singapore Menswear is presented by the Faculty of Design, LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore. This exhibition looks at the Singaporean Dandy both historically and in menswear today. The exhibition takes its inspiration from both the original British Dandy, George Bryan “Beau” Brummell of the 1790s, and from Singapore’s natural British legacy in tailoring combining them with Singaporean culture and aesthetic. Students from BA(Hons) Fashion Media and Industries and BA(Hons) Fashion Design and Textiles will work in collaboration to curate and create a series of innovative fashion exhibition concepts to explain what dandyism means in Singapore today.
